the hidden folder on my Google Drive

Published 9 months ago • 1 min read

I have a folder on my Google Drive called "Shelved."

It's nestled inside the "Z-OLD" folder*, full of ideas for digital products & courses that never came to be.

I was SO excited about sharing each one of those ideas, but they just didn't happen.

Two reasons why:

1) I used to believe that a product had to be 100% ready-to-go before selling it. I had no concept of pre-selling or running a live training that I could turn into a course/product later on!

2) More than once, I outlined an incredible offer, brainstormed all the ways it could help people, and was about to pre-sell it...but I dreaded writing the sales page. 😬

Even copywriters have their writing hang ups, Reader.

Most of my client projects are for long-form sales pages for already-validated offers. I rely on voice of customer research to get at the main message.

You can't interview past customers about something you haven't built, marketed, & sold, though. And that held me back from creating new offers in my business.

I created Write Like Lightning⚡ so that I had a solid framework to use for outlining an offer & writing a short, compelling sales page.

Now, I use it for my offers & my clients, especially for...

⚡ offers that we're pre-selling or launching for the first time (think mini memberships, courses, & other digital products)

⚡ live events (like summits, webinars, & paid live trainings)

⚡ free or low-ticket offers (they just don't need as much sales copy!)

If you've got launches for any of those kinds of offers planned for Q4, join the Get-It-Done Week for Write Like Lightning!

It's $100 to participate & includes the course, a copy template, Voxer Office Hours, a pop-up Facebook group, Co-Writing Sessions, & more.

Hope to see you there!

ciao ciao,

Jaimie

*Clearly I'm not the person to ask about organizing your files. Writing a concise, clear, & compelling sales page in 90-ish minutes, though? I can help with that!

Don't want to hear any more about this Get-It-Done Week? No worries! Click here & I won't mention it again.
